Being a Student at The Meadows
We are a partner school with the Keele and North Staffordshire School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT). Each year, through this relationship we train a team of six to eight graduates to become qualified class teachers. Every graduate who qualifies through us is graded either ‘good’ or, in most cases, ‘outstanding’. This is indicative of the best practice found throughout the school. Here is a bit more information about our current student teachers.
Miss Chandler Deakin
I am currently a student training to be a teacher with The Keele and North Staffordshire Primary SCITT and for my first placement, I am working at The Meadows Primary Academy. I am so grateful to have been placed in such a welcoming school. Their staff have been extremely helpful and supportive of me through the beginning of my journey. I really feel I am being nurtured into the best teacher I can be here, as all members of staff are highly skilled and passionate about their jobs, which is incredibly inspiring. I am valuing every experience and opportunity I get with The Meadows Primary Academy, as their working ethos is something I wish to exemplify throughout my teaching career.
Mr Robert Jennings

The children are wonderful and very welcoming. I could not have asked for a better school to begin my journey in education and i thank you all for this wonderful opportunity.
Mrs Sonya Bedford
I feel very lucky to have The Meadows as my 1st placement school for teacher training as the school is nurturing, not only for children, but also student teachers. The staff are very welcoming and I was instantly included as part of the team. The children are enthusiastic and very polite. The Meadows is pioneering in their field with regards to the extra support they give families and the children are well looked after. It is a happy school and one that I'm proud to be part of.
